Well, since I love our traditional culture and beauty of forms, I have been learning Ikebana (the Japanese flower arrangement) for a long time.
Partly because of that, it is my annual event to go to the garden of Nezu Art Museum in Omotesando around the time when irises bloom.
This year, earlier than usual, they were in full bloom in early May.
Beautiful purple comparison with purple orchid.
There were lots of irises grown by the water and it was sweet to see them reflected on the water from a distance.
I recommend you to go inside the museum to enjoy one of the masterpieces of the Rimpa school, Korin Ogata’s “Iris View” (national treasure) that is exhibited for this season,
Coffee break with the garden view at NEZU Cafe in the museum when feeling fatigued.

During the season of flowers, I hope to go to take photos again and share with you.
