The 69th GRist is Taiki Kudo (Da-iCE)!
Taiki is the performer and leader of the five-piece artist group Da-iCE, for which he also writes lyrics and music.
In May this year, he released his fourth solo photobook, “Revisited,” following “Aurora” (2017), “Comet” (2019), and “Encounter” (2020). Taiki has included a separate volume of photos taken with his RICOH GR IIIx between photo shoots in London.

It has been my partner for a few years now, and I have always loved the ease of use and high resolution of the GR IIIx, which allows me to capture the scene as I see it with my own eyes in the shortest possible time.
I am a very lazy person, so the shorter the time it takes to start, adjust and think after the initial impulse, the longer the act of photography itself lasts, and that is why the GR IIIx is the best camera for me.
For my work, I go on tour a lot, so my basic style is one of "less luggage" in principle. Rather than carrying a lot of equipment, I prefer to carry just this camera in a small bag and take a picture whenever I feel like it, which suits my taste.
I also love the texture of the images, which I can post on social media without worrying about the quality, without post-processing.
I will continue to use it as my partner to capture my casual moments.
